The ceramics studio is nestled in the trees, on a steep slope in the hills of Echo Park, offering views of the neighborhood below and downtown Los Angeles in the distance.
The client needed a space, separate from her house, where she could throw pots and work with clay. The studio faces east and the tilt-up paneled window wall opens up onto a deck overlooking the verdant yard. The siding is a durable, fire resistant bamboo requiring little to no maintenance.
